Snapping out of it

Good morning, Amanda,

Today will be a better day...I need to make it one! The sun is shining so I think I will head out for a morning walk, then go sit by the pool and read more of my novel (#7 for the summer). At 1:30 I will take a little sun break to come in and watch the Next FN star on his new show. If the sun is still shining I'll head back out for a little while. Then at 3 I'll come in and get ready to go to M and V's around 4:30 to see A, who comes home from Poland today. (I can't get all worked up about the Tension Convention; rather, I will focus on seeing A. It's been tense for some time now, and I know it won't be over any time soon. I need to suck it up and keep playing the game). Then maybe I will go out somewhere for a cocktail, just a cocktail, just because. Finally, I will hope at some point tonight talk to a very happy S who is en route to Newport as I write and thrilled to pieces. (Last night I called and asked her, "Is there another girl on this planet as happy as you tonight?!?" She really really loves her annual Newport vacation.)

That's the plan. We'll see how it works out.
