I Needed That

Good morning, Amanda.

I'm back, got back last night--wanted to avoid as much Labor Day weekend/Cape Cod/back to school in Boston traffic as possible. I would rather spend this last day of summer by my pool than on the Pike. I got my W fix and we had a great time, only as I texted, we overindulged a little and didn't feel great yesterday. But by the time I got home the queasiness had subsided and I was famished, so I ended the night with dinner at Outback.

Guilty pleasure # 89. Yes, restaurant snob that I am, the woman who avoids chain restaurants when possible, is a fan of Outback. It's reasonable priced for a consistently good steak dinner. I get the 9 oz. Outback sirloin special. I always choose the house salad with blue cheese to start and green beans with my steak as my 2 sides. For 14.99 you can't beat it. And the servers at the bar all know me and are great. Last night it really hit the spot; today I'll enjoy eating leftovers for lunch.

We are having banner weather here, and the 5 day forecast shows more of the same...(I feel guilty given what is happening in New Orleans and the gulf coast. How horrible!) I hope you are enjoying good weather and a good weekend away, and look forward to hearing from you when you settle back in.

Love, Barb
