New Anger

I can't believe I didn't turn off msnbc once my beloved, democratic-leaning pundits stopped talking. Instead I have been listening to arrogant Republican blowhards.

Huckabee actually said, "I'm not Republican because I grew up rich, but because I was poor [and wasn't going to wait] for a government handout. " Hmmm...are these the same people who won't allow a woman to choose to terminate a pregnancy--despite the fact that she may find it not the best choice to raise a child because she hasn't the emotional or financial resources, or because she was raped or WHATEVER. Yeah, that makes sense. Pro-life without support or resources for those who may need help, not a handout.

Then Mayor Juliani was nothing but full of sarcasm and hate.

Now, this "feminist" choice for Republican VP? Are you kidding?

W and I reached a truce for tonight, but I will still toss and turn, not because I feel fearful for the fate of my relationship with W, but because I am disgusted that even 3/4 of a stadium could applaud for the hateful load of sh*t I've been listening to, that some Americans watching at home are screaming Yeah, while I'm sitting here with my left middle finger permanently poised at the TV thinking, No way. Are you f**king kidding?

Hoping to read from you over coffee tomorrow morning.

XO, B

PS I want someone, one of my favorite msnbc political correspondents, not to be afraid to gather some data, which must exist, that says X percent of teenagers who become pregnant are teenagers seeking love, teenagers not getting the attention they need at home, and/or not being told about birth control, thereby putting an end to the politically correct sound bite that says it having a pregnant teenager reflects nothing on her ability to be VP. Really?....Not even about the republicans getting the pro-lifers?
