Wish lists

I wonder what the proportion of people who live to work vs. people who work to live is. I'm sure there are more in the latter group, but you and I both feel guilty that most times we work to live, and could live without working. But really, why is it different for us to make it through a day and call it a day? I'm quite certain there are bank teller and accountants everywhere who are glad to walk away from their desks that have bound them for 8 hours. Why do we feel like we should be Edward James Olmos in Stand and Deliver? Alas, we suffer from the same condition. We feel guilty that we can hardly get inspired (for long anyway) to live to work. We both have our wish lists of what we'd love to do-- cafe book stores, book club TV shows, novelists-- but can't seem to get there. Too many things get in the way.

Maybe this will be the year to bring you closer to something on your wish list. I hope it is. Maybe it will inspire me to try to get closer to one on mine.

Have a great day. Barb
