Hey there,
What a great day in our country. I am glued to my tv, I'm glued to my internet, I haven't been this involved in the presidential election since 1984 when I campaigned for Ferraro because that's what women did in 1984. Whethe she was qualified or not.
I'm very excited to see what happens. It is so cool to be part of such a huge moment in history - to have my kids be old enough to remember this. I'm feeling confident that we're going to win, even though it's way too early to tell. I told JJ that either way it goes, the presidential race will forever be changed.
Fingers crossed...
I hope you're enjoying your no-students day. Next best thing to an actual day off. I'm cleaning today, getting ready for A's visit from DC on Friday. He'll be here for the weekend and my bathrooms resemble those in a frat house. I am having lunch with KB in Seattle tomorrow (yay! the city!) so I'm down to today and Thursday to get everything done. If I could get my butt off the internet, or out from in front of the tv today, it would help. I just feel like I can't disconnect from one of the most important days ever, in favor of scrubbing toilets, you know?
I didn't get a response on my emails from you yesterday, so I'm not sure if you know that M came home last night. He's in school today, and hopefully, we'll have a week or so of peace before this stupid cycle starts up again, which I am quite certain it will. The funniest thing was that the only person I talked to about what happened, including S, T, K, R and J at dinner, was Ann, my pharmacist. Wow, when your pharmacist is your best friend, you're on too many drugs.
:-)
Looking forward to a big win,
A
