Hey, B.
Sorry to hear you had to stay up correcting all night. That definitely sucks. As did, I might add, the Superbowl. Bunch of Cardinal fans over here, although I'll bet you're a Steelers girl, eh? Anyway, we had a great time, as always, over at K&R's. They just renovated their bonus room from a home office to a tv room, or as R calls it, the Executive Suite. We had a ton of food...there were only eight of us and I'm certain we could have fed 40. Kim came without Josh, who's in NY, so CK came over solo too. We let all the kids (JJ, JK, C & T and Kim's daughter) have their own party over at S&T's house, parent-free. Call us crazy...they all brought "appetizers" (JJ brought Super Bowl Cap'n Crunch and chocolate pudding cups) and decorated the entire family room with colorfol drawings of "Go Cardanals!" and "Cardanals Rock!" (spelled wrong, of course). At some point during the party they all popped in to show us that JK had drawn Go Cardanals on each of their stomachs in Sharpie. There was a little bit of rambunctiousness here and there, but we checked in on them pretty regularly and I think they did great. I'm pretty sure all they ate was chocolate covered donuts, in addition to the cereal and pudding, but hey. It's the Super Bowl, right?
As for me, I pretty much ate everything in sight, but you know what? I didn't drink. CK and I started off with a spicy Bloody Mary at 3:00, but as soon as I was done with it, I was just thirsty and moved on to Pellegrino for the rest of the day. Sometime in the 4th quarter Kim came in with a cup of tea and I nearly drove to Starbucks because a cup of joe sounded really good. I just ate some more ribs and poured some more water. I have to say, it's awfully nice to be sober tonight. I haven't been sleeping for s**t lately and I know that's why.
Anyway, tomorrow is wax day, so K and I will head up to the big city for our monthly ripping. We'll hit Whole Foods (duh! it would be a crime to be so close and not at least stop in!) and have lunch while we're up there, so it should be a fun day. Maybe a quick pop-in to Nordstrom (nothing good is close to us, we have to make the most of our travels!)
It's only 10:30 but I'm zonked. I hope you got all your work done and that you at least enjoyed avoiding it all weekend. Happy Monday!
Love, A
