Happy Mother's Day!!

Hope you are having a good weekend, and that you had a moment today that made you feel like Mother's Day was a day meant just for you. Happy Mother's Day.

My weekend with W was fantastic, short but sweet and delicious and so much fun. We ended up with an invite late yesterday afternoon to stop by L and D's for burgers and dogs (we haven't gotten together with them in years!), and by the time we got home never watched our Netflix, but it was all perfect. In fact, it was definitely an I love him so much! weekend. He went back early today to get ready for dinner at his mother's, which gave me a chance to regroup a little before dinner with mine.

It was just me and my mom and dad this year--as it has been in other years--since my sisters like to enjoy the day for themselves. Mom cooked of course (leave it to my mother), though dad grilled the steaks she marinated, and I brought shrimp cocktail for an appetizer and ice cream for dessert. I was there for a couple hours and not a minute was awkward, so that's a good thing.

Now I'm home unwinding, having a little wine, enjoying the lilacs I brought home with me from the bush in my mother's backyard,waiting for my TV shows (Cold Case and Brothers and Sisters), before I go upstairs and find myself particularly lonely.
