Happy Weekend!

Hi, Amanda.

Until I hear from you that you want to take an official hiatus, I'll keep writing, although maybe not quite as often...

I'm in good spirits, especially since the weekend is here and I'm that much closer to pool days and summer vacation. Yay me! My week at school was good, though, so it's not a thank god this week is finally over feeling. Rather, I'm just generally happy that it's almost time to recoup and regroup and have a little more fun than normal.

I don't have much going on this weekend, and I'm good with that. I look forward to sleeping in and to my Sunday breakfast (that W and I couldn't fit in to our weekend schedule), and plan to stop by to see my parents (who have M and V's kids while they are on a 11 day holiday in Europe), and--therefore--the kids. (Don't get me started.) My niece A likes the farfalle and broccoli dish that I make (modified from Giada) so I will make that and join them all for dinner on Sunday, just to give them someone to visit with beside my parents. (Meanwhile, L plans on visiting with the kids again during the week next week since we had such a nice time this past Monday, so that'll be a little diversion for J and A too.)

The rest of the month will fly...Memorial Day weekend is next weekend, my official summer kickoff (poolside!) and then my birthday is the following week, and then I'll see W to celebrate that weekend, and then it'll be June and we're going to do a hotel indulgence for my birthday/end of the school year and then finals will start and.... I don't want to wish my life away by any means, but I am thrilled for things that are coming up.

Hope you had a good week and that you have some fun things (gardening?) in store for the weekend.

Love you,
Barb
